Consultants frequently get a bad rap.  In fact here are some consultant jokes you might enjoy.  All kidding aside, consulting is critical, especially in highly specialized areas like performance measurement.  Because there are standards, rules, exceptions to the rules, and in many cases a lack of standards, performance measurement (calculations, disclosures, presentation, compliance etc.) can become complex.  That's when experience, creativity and an expert opinion is needed the most.  No challenge is too big or too small.
